If you have been hurt emotionally and are on a personal journey of growth and understanding, you may be looking for ways to manifest your desires and achieve your goals. In this article, we will explore the concept of taking inspired action, and how it can help you achieve your dreams.
Uninspired Action Vs Inspired Action
There are two trains of thought when it comes to taking action on the things you need to do, and there can be a bit of a difference between them, so they need to be addressed.
Understanding Uninspired Action
The first aspect of taking action is often thought of as a “J.O.B.”, and for those who don’t get the joke, it’s “Just Over Broke”. The dreaded job where you work for someone else. The word job often conjures up images of drudgery. I have to eat, so I have to work. I have to post content if I want to get paid, right? After all, you can’t just sit around doing nothing all day and expect to get paid.
Let’s face it, most people are not “inspired” to go to work each day. But there is a benefit to that process, and that is consistency. When you are working at a job, you are likely going to have a definite schedule. Most businesses cannot function properly without some form of schedule otherwise coverage and workloads would not function properly.
Consistent scheduling of your workload means that, well, you get work done. This means that with time, you will grow forward in your skill sets, your productivity, and your income. It may take a while, and most people will not become millionaires working for a living (it will depend on your job), but the skill sets and the development of that consistency of action-taking are great for what comes next.
Understanding Inspired Action
The pivotal point of inspired action is the idea that you should take be taking action toward your chosen goals ONLY when you feel inspired to do so. By definition, this means that you would only listen to your intuition and act on ideas that feel aligned with your desires and values. Inspired action allows you to move towards your goals with greater ease and flow, instead of forcing yourself to take action when you don’t feel motivated.
While the job reference above is often looked at as “forced”, the premise of inspired action is that you will at some point in time find yourself “just wanting to do what you are passionate about”.
Difficulties often arise because we need to know what will inspire us. Then we need to be able to focus our attention on that which we feel inspired to do. Those things that might inspire us may not benefit us in the long run either. There also has to be something that you can work on when you have the time, energy, and desire to do so.
The problem often then becomes an issue of “knowing what you are inspired about”.
Cultivating Inspiration
Look, we get that motivation and inspiration often are in short supply these days. It’s super hard to stay focused and flow properly from the mundane workday to a more inspired passionate endeavor. We’ve been there, done that.
Luckily, there are ways that you can change that. To cultivate some inspiration, it’s important to connect with your inner self and your deepest desires. This can be done through practices such as journaling, vivid dreaming, meditation, and visualization. By taking some time to reflect on what you truly want out of life and what truly brings you joy, you can gain clarity and become more aligned with your purpose.
Write down those things you want to achieve. Don’t be worried about what you want, just write them down. This can include your dream house, your dream car, your chosen place to live, etc. If you want to travel, well, write it down. If you want to have a specific lifestyle, write it down.
The more deeply emotionally attached you are to those desires, the more likely you are to find something that will inspire you to work toward those goals.

Breaking Down Goals into Smaller Steps
I know that your first thoughts might be “Yeah it’s cool to have those, but that will never happen”. Let’s stop right there and get rid of that negativity, shall we? Let’s take a moment to cover a few concepts:
- Rome wasn’t built in a day.
- Even God took six days to build the Universe.
The point here is that, no matter who you are, or what you are deciding what you want out of life, it will take time and multiple steps. If you break down those larger goals into smaller, more manageable parts, then focus on one step at a time, then all you have to do is complete each step.
Once you have a detailed, clear idea of your life desires, it’s important to break down your goals into smaller, actionable steps. I like to use a generic outline format, such as this:
- I: Main Goal
- A: Action step 1
- B: Action Step 2
The point is to make these action steps small enough that you can do them relatively easily, or at least within the time you have available. This could be such as my sample below:
- I Website Content
- A: Write Article
- 1: Research topic
- 2: Create Title
- 3: Create an Outline
- 4: Write Content
- 5: Proofread
- 6: Publish
- B: Tweet To Twitter
- 1: Create several tweets
- 2: Schedule Tweets
- C: Post to Facebook
- 1: Create Multiple FB Posts
- 2: Schedule FB Posts
- A: Write Article
You can use as many as needed, by try not to make them ultra-small. Consider making them small enough to give yourself the concept but not to get overwhelmed by the minutia of small details.
This breakdown helps to make your goals more achievable and far less overwhelming. By taking small, inspired actions toward your goals each day, you can build momentum and create positive momentum toward achieving your desires.
Overcoming Limiting Beliefs
Now that you know what you want out of your life, let’s first discuss something you might not be aware of:
If someone else has achieved any specific goal in life, regardless of what is is, then other people can also achieve it. All you have to do is replicate their success. You should not be trying to reinvent any wheels.
You have to understand that success IS repeatable. There simply is no way to guarantee that you will make it to the same level of success as others do, but if you are shooting for a specific goal, are taking the right steps, and you keep moving forward, then you will get there eventually.
As you begin to take action toward your goals, you may encounter limiting beliefs and self-doubt. These beliefs can hold you back and prevent you from reaching your full potential. To overcome these beliefs, it’s important to practice self-compassion and self-awareness. By acknowledging your thoughts and feelings without judgment, you can begin to release limiting beliefs and move towards a more positive mindset.

Celebrating Your Successes
As you take inspired action toward your goals, it’s important to celebrate your successes along the way. This helps to reinforce positive momentum and creates a sense of accomplishment.
This is one of the main benefits of breaking things down, as each step becomes easier to complete, track your success and show progress. You can easily check off each step as it gets completed and keep it as a reference of where your journey began.
Celebrating your successes can be as simple as acknowledging your progress, treating yourself to something special, or sharing your accomplishments with others.
Conclusion
I know it’s going to still take you a bit of work along this journey. But let’s face a bit of reality here, life does take work, regardless of which option you choose.

When it comes to personal growth and manifestation, taking inspired action can be incredibly powerful and extremely rewarding. By finding inspiration from deep within yourself, breaking down your goals into achievable steps, and overcoming any limiting beliefs, you can create positive momentum that will propel you towards a more fulfilling life.
And as you celebrate each success along the way, you’ll find that your confidence grows, making it easier to stay motivated and continue working towards your goals.
